The Chief is a granite dome near Squamish an hour north of Vancouver . It towers over 700m above Howe Sound. And its pretty cool.
my first pitch of aid (clipping slings in and climbing up on gear) was on the Chief.
this is Angel's Crest, a 14 pitch 5.10, a classic climb
it took us 10 hours, so no speed record.
Chris at the top, a very experienced climber, he has climbed big wall and multi day routes in the US and is helping me learn about bigger routes, aid, rope rescue and alpine climbing.
