My Manager Ken and I headed down to the Rocky Mountain Institute - Boulder, Colorado (RMI is famous for being a think tank in alternative energies) 
Boulder is a super lovely town at the foot of the rockies, it is the first city to boost 'Smart Grid' 
Their journal is pretty good reading if you're interested, see the web site\publicationsWe are particularly interested in how their projects on 'multiple renewable resources' could be applied to remote community projects, an area I am trying to break into.
Of course while we were there I had to climb:
We started a 4am to avoid the electric storms, a real hazard in Colorado apparently
I was so tired i tried to sleep while belaying =)
